Need new steering wheel lock module
#2
Hey Joe,
This is the 4th thread you've started over the past couple years which contains "car won't start"? Sorry you're having so much trouble with your G.
What makes you think the steering wheel lock is what is preventing the car from starting this time? As far as I know, the condition of the steering wheel lock is not a factor in the starter circuit working ... I could be wrong. The things that I do know need to be working are the shift position sensor and the brake pedal switches.

This is a well known and documented issue on certain 2009-2011/12 Nissan AND Infiniti models. If the steering wheel lock does not unlock the steering wheel, the car WILL NOT START. The ECM receives a signal from the ESCL module which, along with IVIS/NATS, judges start/no start conditions.
That said, this system was done away with by Nissan in 2013+ models. Being OP has a 2013 it is hard to say if this is the issue or not.
FOR REFERENCE:
The ESCL (Electronic Steering Column Lock) module is p/n: 48600-1NC1A and the cheapest is $710 from discountinfinitiparts.com. This part DOES NOT APPLY TO 2012+ models.
