Lock/unlock buttons not working

The lock and unlock buttons on the inside of the doors do not work. The power window buttons work fine so I can guess it's just the lock buttons.

What year and model? Neither the driver's side nor passenger side door lock switches work? What about other locking / unlocking methods - remote fob or iKey? Two pushes of the door request button (if so equipped)? Is your gas cap cover locked?

2011 G37X sedan. The key fob works, the door handle button works neither driver or passenger side unlock buttons work. I have to lean over and open it manually to let someone in. It does unlock when I turn the car off. Gas cap cover locks with key fob.Would it help if I had a video showing what works?

OK, understood, everything works normally except the lock/unlock rocker switches in BOTH front door armrests. No vid needed. That's a weird one and makes me think the problem could be with the main power window switch unit in the driver's door - which also does some processing (one of our many black boxes).

Gonna hazard a guess and ask if the electronic side of your key cylinder in the door is also malfunctioning? Unlocking with the key and then turning it to "unlock" a 2nd time within 60 seconds is supposed to open all locks. Unlocking and holding the key in the unlock position is supposed to lower the windows...

It looks like those functions and the lock/unlock rocker switches communicate with the BCM via the "power window serial link" which I believe is generated by the processor in the armrest. That's not a cheep part (because it has a brain) so if I'm right you'd need to weigh the loss of these functions against the loss of some $$$.

Your factory service manuals are here:
https://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G37/Sedan/2011/
But digging through those is tedious and I can't find an easy answer.

So that's my guess at what's happening but maybe somebody else in here actually knows better.

Damn. It's always the little stuff that's expensive. It's not to big of an inconvenience for me. I wonder if it's a part I could get at a pull n pay place.

Still just my guess on the cause... But if I'm right, yes you could likely "pull" this part, or maybe find it on ebay.

According to this site:
https://www.infinitipartsamerica.com..._id=&page_url=
It's either 25401-JK42E or 25401-JK45B. The !st number is "Sedan with Premium Package" and the 2nd is "Sedan w/o premium package". I don't know if that has to do with the exact layout of the switches or maybe the latching up/down buttons or something different with base models. The "with premium package" part appears to fit '07, '08, '09, '10, '11, '12 and 2013 sedans so it's slightly cheaper and should be easier to find. The "w/o premium package" part only lists '11, '12 and '13 sedans.

Once again, I'm only guessing on this answer. You might want to have somebody with a Consult III diagnose it.

Tagging along - similar issue with my 2011 G37x and I've just lived with it so far:
Interior lock/unlock on driver's side works fine, passenger side has never worked from the inside. Occasionally driver's side will quit until ignition is cycled.
Driver's exterior lock - key doesn't open/close windows/sunroof.
Press and hold unlock on fob - doesn't roll windows down.

Someone once speculated ability to roll windows down with key/key fob could be a missing option within convenience. Probably all related to the power window serial link.
