G37 tesla screen

I was wondering if anyone bought the new px6 core model, if so are there many problems with the unit? A review would greatly be appreciated!

I just purchased it for Phoenix automotive. I have problems. Now my keyless entry door handle button doesn’t work, my rear speakers don’t work and the harness responsible for my hazard flashers when plugged in keeps the car from be able to fully turn off unless I disconnect it so I have to drive with no hazard lights. A rep has been messaging me on FB through their page and says likely they sent the wrong harness and they’re checking into it. I’ll give them about 2 to 3 more business days then I’m sending it back for a refund. It costs too much to be having issues. But it also seems as only people who got it from them had issues but people who got it else where generally had no problems

That’s unfortunate to hear, I was going to shoot my shot with the new screen. After reading your review I’m hesitant now. Hope you get it fixed, gl. Also how do you inform them which harness you need?

Well on the website it asks you which year and trim level features your vehicle has. But with mines there were two similar options listed under my year and trim level options (rear cam/nav) and I think there was a reason for that now. The issue with my climate control literally just went away when I got the car today it was just working again. I can only assume that part was just a glitch (not surprising dealing with android OS at times) but the rear speakers and hazard button issue likely will only be resolved from them clarifying the harness I need. I’ll give them about 3 more days to provide a resolution then I’ll be seeking to return for a refund. I hear people who purchased from other places never had these issues. 🤔

I asked this on the other Tesla-thing threads with no reply and thought I would try this thread as well...

Would anyone who has this unit- installed or sitting in a box- be kind enough to take a measurement for me? I need the width of the unit at the top between the vents... specifically, the width of the green line between the red lines in this pic:

I tried calling/emailing Phoenix and even emailed the company in China- to see if I could order just the frame- no replies.

I am working on a similar project (not this Tesla-thing) and need that dimension to help me determine screen fitment.

Thanks in advance!

People spending $600-$700 on a Chinese screen thinking it's going to be flawless like a $2k-$3k screen from Alpine need to re-think their expectations. I installed mine knowing I would have to work through some kinks. If you don't like to tinker then you won't like this. This is a small company that is growing quick due to popular demand of this screen so it is difficult for their small support team to assist (especially wihen they have to cal China, ask me how I know).

There a numerous threads that discuss issues and resolutions (including the FB grouo.) Do the research and expect to work through some issues. Most of these issues are user related or due to the wrong harness being sent. However there are also numerous people that have installed the screen with no issues whatsoever. I spent hours and hours on the FB group, here, and emailing the company before I pulled the trigger. I had everything detailed out for the install, labeled, and made sure I took my time and took pictures.

Is it perfect? No. Am I happy and do I have dozens of new features that I didn't have before, absolutely F'in yes. Driving the car is so much more enjoyable.

ILM-NC G37S - If you're referring to the plastic trim width and not the screen width then: The width is not uniform from top to bottom. Measurements are approximate: Top is 7 1/2", middle is 7 3/8", bottom is 7 1/4".

Thank you! That was exactly what I needed to know. The screen I am working with is 7-5/8" wide, so it just might work...

If only I can find out if Phoenix/Asvegen will sell me just the frame...

Thanks again!! 🍺

So I decided to reinstall my Tesla style screen after deciding to sell my car for a red sport uninstalling it and then decided to keep my g37, so when I had it installed the climate control buttons did not light up just wondering if anyone else has had this issue

I also remember the reverse camera being less clear with the Tesla screen so if anyone has tried other cameras that work better with it that would be great to know
