I have been dealing with audio issues in my 2012 g37 w navigation. It can only play music from the radio. All other connections, bluetooth, aux, cd, and music box do not work. I can make bluetooth calls but not music anymore. I was wondering if it means that I would have to replace my av control unit in general? Love the capability to play my own music, and hate that i can't anymore.

 

Did you try the diagnostic that I recommended in your other thread?

If everything has died except AM/FM then likely your headunit has a major problem and will likely need replacement. Fortunately, the headunit is easy enough to replace and replacements are relatively inexpensive off eBay.

Might try running the diagnostic first...

Yes, found out it is my head unit. Seeing used ones for $100 on ebay. Should I be able to replace it myself, or should I pay someone to do it?

 

It is literally a 30 minute job. Disconnect battery, remove some panels and screws, unclip a few connectors and swap the unit. Eezy Peezy. Just be sure to match part numbers and you should be golden...
