Stripped ignition switch wires need help!
As you can see the ground(black) cable is stripped. Wondering if that could be the cause of the car not starting.
Hey fellow G owners,
I was trying to install the GTR button as per my last post but my car would turn on to accessory mode but would not start. I tried using the oem button but still no luck, until I looked further and realized I must've stripped a wire since my fingers weren't thin enough to fit through the opening. I used pliers to secure the wiring harness to plug in the button but must've held too tight and stripped a wire. I attached a picture hopefully you can shed some light on how I can fix the wiring.
****************UPDATE******************
If someone's car doesn't start but the lights turn on trouble check BOTH fuse boxes! I only had checked the one by the engine and not the other one by the steering wheel. After taking a look the ignition fuse was blown, did a quick switch and the car started!
Thanks for the all the help

Do you have good soldering skills or know someone who does?
The best way to repair this (without replacing the harness) would be to splice in a new wire. It is not going to be easy because there is such limited space.
Remove some of the foam to give you extra space and to free up the wires. If possible, remove the terminal from the connector housing (I will warn you, it is NOT easy) and solder in a jumper wire.
Someone with good skills should be able to install a splice 1-2-3.
Maybe others will have a better idea...?
