I just got my 2011 x sedan and was trying to play music with a USB cord like aux but the dash screen keeps saying check device. So is there a setting on my phone so I need to change or does it not work with a trac phone.

 

You sure cord is pushed all the way in or not broken

 

It charges but the USB screen on the dash says check connected device

 

Try another cable

 

i'll try that but would i need an aux to usb if that doesn't work

Is it an iphone or an android you're using?

 

It's a trac phone from Android

 

Have you updated phone?

 

From what I know, no android phone works... need an iPhone for it to work
