Weird electric issues (trunk opens, alarm goes off)

After work today I got into my 2010 G37x and noticed that the hazard lights were on. I thought maybe my bag had hit the button when I exited the vehicle in the morning, but then the car wouldn't start up and I noticed the trunk was open.

Eventually I was able to get the car to start but while I was driving the trunk opened again , the check engine soon light came on, and the key fob light came on in the dash.

Since then my trunk has been opening constantly , even when the car off and even when the key fob is no where near the car (i drive my other car on an errand and came back to an open trunk). A few minutes ago my alarm went off. I'm dropping the car off in the morning if I can make it to the shop but does anyone know what this might be?
I did a search and saw different people say it's the key fob if the trunk keeps opening but it happened when the fob was no where near the car and also the check engine light and hazards came on as well.....

Just wondering if this is a common minor issue, like reconnecting a circuit or buying a new circuit or something or a sign of something more serious like a major electrical issue. This car has already had the gasket cover issue "fixed" under warranty and i'm hoping it's not another major issue

Had this issue in my Chrysler 300, and it was due the key fog. I took it out and behind the key fog for the switches there was little gold circular metal that went over each function such as unlock, lock, and trunk. My lock button one the metal pieces came off and was on top of my trunk botton, which caused it to keep opening by it self. So I just fixed it and moved them back to their location and never had the problem every again. I don’t know how the infiniti key fob works as I never took it apart to that extent but it might be the same issue.

Interesting
Yea, I’m hoping the trunk, key light, and alarm means it’s just a key reprogram or maybe a bad fuse
The fact the check engine light came on and the car had trouble starting has me worried it’s something more serious.

Do you possibly have the code for the check engine light?

The dealer is saying water leaked into the bcm unit, but the leads aren’t corroded. Replacing the bcm entirely is over $2000 , fixing the leak and drying the bcm unit is an cheaper alternative.
I’ll search on here to see if anyone has posted about bcm issues...

This is still happening periodically, almost always at night
is there a way to disconnect the hood sensor so that when it pops open the alarm doesn’t go off?

It seems like you've got more going on than a problem with the hood switch ... but defeating that switch would mean either simply unplugging it or shorting the plug's connectors with a jumper. It can only be one or the other, on or off. I'm sorry I don't know which state the switch is supposed to be in when the hood is closed, but if you unplug it and can't set the alarm that would indicate you need to short the connector's terminals.

As a possible clue to the source of your multiple problems, the open-the-trunk signal is generated by the BCM and not a simple switch-directly-wired-to-actuator link. You could try throwing the "trunk lid opener cancel switch" located in your glove box and see if that keeps it closed, but it might really be your BCM has water damage.

If you need to replace your BCM and can install it yourself, you're probably looking at $450-500 instead of your dealer's quote of $2k. Cheaper still from ebay. But be sure to get an exact part number match for your car.
