Audio Upgrade?
try adding a powered sub first and see how you like it - makes the biggest difference.
i also use Viper4Android audio processing app on my old rooted Android phone that i leave in the armrest just for music ... the Bose amp applies a weird EQ to the music, and with the V4A app, i can actually dial it in to sound really good. the factory speakers sound good enough that i didn't feel the need to replace them - its the Bose EQ that kills the sound.
i tried a ton of IOS apps on an iPhone to correct the EQ, but none play nice with the headunit, so you're stuck with the stock Apple muisc app, and its preset EQ settings just can't fix the Bose EQ.
