USB iPod Classic connecting problem?

Hi there, I have a 2010 G37X Coupe. Every time i try to connect my iPod Classic via USB, it tells me there's no memory in it, but when I connect my iPhone 6S Plus to it it works

Anyone have a solution to this? I thought iPod Classics work with the G as well??

Have you tried another cable?

The 6S uses a mini connector to USB whereas the IPod uses a 30 pin to USB

Yes, I have the 30 pin USB with me and I've already tried that. When I picked up the car, I tried using my iPod before using my iPhone. its a regular 30pin USB from apple too :S

My old U2 Ipod doesn't like my G37 vert or my 2005 Corvette, but it seems to be is a some battery or hard drive issue when I left the device in the car overnight. However, when I take it out I plug it in to my old Sony stereo it boots right up and plays. Now my Gen 3 iPod and old iPhone 3s have no issues in the G37. Go figure!

I'm also wondering if there is enough voltage passing through the g37 USB port. The old ipod is a heavy duty device with its hard drive.

Now my old U2 iPod i had the battery replace last year, but doesn't hold it's charge for long either. That said it doesn't wake up on the G37, but it powers up on my 110 volt players.
