I-pod Acting weird
So on my way home the other daymy ipod cut out to just static. That has never happened before and it has been freezing up as well, if I skip too many songs looking for something it will stop playing and sometimes it wont come back on. Anyone else have the same issues? I have a 2010 with nav in case anyone was wondering or didn't know
I have a 2011 coupe (non-nav) and I had the same issues on my trip to DC last weekend. At first I thought it was the iPhone acting up and then I figured it was the wire but none.
I would select a song to play and it would play a totally different song and won't let me change it. I would skip and play next song but instead it would skip 3-5 songs and play a random one.
Very weird.

i've experimented with iPod apps to fix the EQ, but they all mess up the song info - when you skip tracks, some of the info is missing, or doesn't change. they all seem to be built in to music player apps - no "global" app to fix EQ that uses the stock Apple music player.
this is on an older iPod Touch, which is stuck at software 6.xx. i wonder if there are any apps that run on newer software that would work. maybe i'll get my brother's new iPhone and test some ...
any ideas?

I am using an i-pod touch 7th gen and it has the latest software so I am not sure that will fix your problem either! I did reboot AGAIN and *knock on wood* so far so good. I think the biggest issue is the tech difference in years. I think the car being a 2010 and the gen i-pod I have being 2015 could have something to do with it. If I had an i-pod from like 2010-2012 I think the car would react better. I think there is too much going on with the newer version for the radio to handle

so i tried my brother's iPhone on current IOS, and used a free app called "HS Player" - has a built-in 10 band equalizer.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hs-p...857650606?mt=8
it seemed to work normally - album art and song info worked, and changed as they should when skipping tracks.
i turned the treble on the HU down to around 3 or 4, and tweaked the treble freq's with the app's EQ, and it sounded decent. the Bose "treble" to me sounds harsh without being crisp, and that's what i'm trying to correct.
i tried another app (BBE Sonicmax), but it acted weird.
at least on IOS 7+, there are *some* apps that will work. so i need to get a newer iPod (or used iPhone) if i want to have better-sounding music with proper working song info and album art.
