For anyone out there that isn't an Apple person and had as much trouble with playing music in our cars as much as I did, I would suggest getting one of the older iPods to plug in if you have the cable or the 2010+ or whenever they changed it to USB connection. I got a 5th gen iPod 30GB and a flash card adapter for it to replace the hard drive so I could put as much storage in it that I wanted and it works fine. I found out that you can just drag and drop music onto the iPod through iTunes instead of letting it take over your music library and screwing everything up so it's not as bad to use as I thought it would be.
