Bluetooth audio streaming

Just recently picked up a 2010 G37X sedan and loving it, minus the lack of aux input. It has bose and navigation.

Does anyone have any experience streaming audio with a samsung galaxy s5 over bluetooth? Some audio sounds good, but any music with highs have a decent amount of static. This phone sounded great over bluetooth in my old vehicle. I have tried an older ipod touch in the G and it seemed to sound much better, so i'm guessing there's some type of compatibility issue. Thanks.

Signal strength shouldn't be much of an issue. Might be worthwhile removing the paired connection and resetting it. Doubt it will change anything but worth a shot.

Yeah I've tried reconnecting the phone. I also reinitialized all the settings through the diagnostic screen on the car and it still persists. It only seems to be present on higher frequencies, listening to some tracks and it sounds perfect, others not so much.

I had a very similar issue with my Note 3 and my Moto X Pure, both using the Poweramp app. It turns out that the problem was with the gains on Poweramp. After a few emails to their support team, they pointed me towards the sound settings. I tweaked the gains, and that cleared up my static issue.

I figured it had something to do with the app I was using, after streaming through the Google Play Music app and not experiencing the issue.
