Aux input question
Sorry if this has been covered but I've searched with no luck. With my 09 coupe, can I adapt the iPod input to Android with success? I don't mind a cord rather than Bluetooth so if it won't work I guess I can just use the a/v to headphone route. I've just heard the sound input was very low level. I have the Bose system btw. Thanks.
BEST/cheapest/easiest option: This BT receiver off amazon for $20 and it connects to the RCA in with a headphone jack. It powers on and connects to my phone automatically via Bluetooth the second the car turns on. I have it tucked away in the center console and never have to touch it or look at it. Yes, its CD quality and functions like it came factory. Thee BEST option out there for the guys without the BT streaming feature.
It works so well, I even took the time to go back and leave a 5 star review.
Downside: It pretty much takes up all of the room in the center console even with short wires. Just cover it with that little tray the car comes with and forget about it. Losing your center console storage is definitely worth the BT feature.

this one is cheaper and takes up less space. you will need a 12V-USB adapter for the cig light port and a 3.5mm-to-RCA cable, but its still much smaller.

This may be redundant, but have we firmly established that there is no way to use (meaning stream) Spotify/Apple music with an iPhone plugged into the USB port?
I assume that's the reason for all of the bluetooth mods.
2013 G37 sedan, no nav but has bluetooth for phone.

Kb Cool—is there a certain setting, etc, that I need to pay attention to? It just tells me "no song" and "iPod" comes up. I have an iPhone 6s Plus so it's not an out of date model or anything. It doesn't recognize the fact that Spotify is on my phone…almost like it just wants to play songs native to my phone…of which there are zero... Any ideas?
