2008 LCD display

My 2008 G37 NON-NAV display is starting too fade/die. Before buying a used one from an '08, will the updated one from '11 (non-nav) fit/work with the 2008 radio? Has this been done before? Based on photos ive seen the plugs look the same.

Thanks in advance!

LCD screens from 2010+ models will NOT work on the 2008's and 2009's. The newer screens use a different interface and would require swapping out the entire AV controller (radio). I wanted to swap out the screen in my '08 because the newer ones have better resolution but unless you're willing to swap out the whole system you'll have to stick with a '08 or '09 model.

Thank you, wanted to do the same while replacing the failing display.
