Exclamation left rear speaker not fully working

i have a 2013 g37x coupe with bose system. today i was checking the balance and fader settings and could not hear my left rear speaker while isolating it. i had a closer look/listen in the trunk and it seems like the low end/bass is working but not the midrange/high portion. i'm not familiar with the bose system, but would this indicate a busted speaker, the amp, crossover or some other connection? yes i am aware that the bose system is nothing to write home about, but i would like for it to at least be in working order.

thanks in advance for any help.

ok, so i'm an idiot and didn't realize there are speakers on the sides of the rear seats (i haven't had this car for 1 week yet) and he 6x9's only provide the "low end" frequencies.
