Back-up camera question...............

Backing out of my garage this morning, and each time I've backed up since then, and while checking the image from the camera, I've noticed a single, faint, vertical line running up the exact middle of the image on the screen.

The owner's manual doesn't mention any such line in its description of the rear vision monitor, and although I don't remember seeing it before, I can't honestly swear in hasn't been there all along.

Just for the record, the car's a 2013 Journey sedan. Sound familiar to anybody? Is it normal?? Or....???

Thanks in advance.

I don't have a line running through the middle of my screen. I have the two yellow double lines though if I turn my wheel

You may have a dead pixel. Can you post a picture of the line?

Post a pic. Is it very distinct? Is there any discoloration? Is it hot where you live?

To '11G37S & monytx / Unfortunately, not good with pix. In any case, it's fairly distinct, grey-bluish, and can be hot around here, but not currently.

Have you cleaned the camera recently? Used a spray detailer or wax recently? Just wondering if there could be some 'film' over the camera itself...

I generally keep the car spotless, but who knows? Anything's possible, and I'll double check that in the a.m.

I noticed here in Houston during the summer, my little lcd screen in the dash gets really dull and I can't really read it. Adjusting the brightness did nothing.. Question, have you ever pushed too hard while cleaning the screen?

Nope - super careful about that.
