Audio Questions - Replacing Doors Speakers
I'm a total audio idiot so I just want to ask if aftermarket speakers are simple plug and play or direct swap with minimal wiring involved? Just hoping someone can shed some light and guidance on getting some better sound without replacing the entire Blows system.

you can replace the speakers with aftermarket (2 ohm i believe, at least if you want to be able to hear them at all) speakers but you probably wont get any improvement in sound quality unless you amp them with their own aftermarket amp. wiring this car is significantly more difficult than others due to the head unit being almost a necessity to keep, so you will need a line out converter if you want a clean signal

you will need an adaptor like this
PVC Speaker Adapters - CNC Machined - In Stock or Custom Made
you just need to wire the new speakers in.
Sites like crutchfield and sonic electronixs offer a harness that plugs into the existing speaker harness. One end has the harness and the other end has speaker wire.
If you are wanting to add an amp....that's a totally different route.
