Passenger Side-Mirror Camera

Hello Everyone,

Relatively new to the forum and just trying to see if anyone has done a side-mirror camera install (passenger). I have searched and found that there is an OEM one for the 370GT, but that would prob be ridiculously priced and shipped from Japan.

I am interested in having something reduce the blindspot for my coupe, esp for when I parallel park (I'm in LA...) since the mirror doesn't roll down when in reverse! I was thinking about either a proximity sensor, or just a simple $20 waterproof camera (dont care too much about video quality).

So if it was a camera, I would have to wire it through the side mirror, and possibly have to drill a hole in the bottom of the mirror housing. As for sensors, I would need relatively accurate and sensitive ones for measuring distance to the curb, or maybe sonar? Sorry if I am over-complicating the scenario. I already have a small circular blindspot mirror to help, but it can only really see the back wheel and it does block part of the mirror itself.

Any help or advice would greatly be appreciated! I just want to take care of (baby) the new car. Thanks in advanced!

I was mainly looking for a way to see more of the right side of the car, not just the back tire/end of the car. This looks good tho, and might be what I have to settle for.

I was hoping for a camera that was wide angle and could be pointed straight down to see along the side of the car. Thanks for the input tho!
