I recently bought a used 2011 G37x, so far i am enjoying every bit of it. I have a small question related to playing Music through USB Flash drive, Is there a setting to scroll through the Folders/songs from the attached USB Flash drive instead of playing them directly, when i try to navigate through the folders, the moment i try to navigate through the folder/s, the currently playing song changes to the one from the folder. Was wondering if there is a setting which can be adjusted to let you just scroll through the folders without changing the current song, really appreciate your help!

 

I can scroll thru the songs on the I Pod without the current song that is playing change while scrolling



I can't remember regarding the use of the thumb drive

The USB drive auto plays whatever song your highlighting, so you can't listen and scroll at the same time. It's really quite annoying. I got a 32gb flash drive and threw all my music on it when I first got the car thinking I'd be able to use it, but it's really best suited for a couple of playlists and that's it.

I find my current setup with folders for each artist (over 500) unusable. I end up just streaming the music from my phone through bluetooth now rather than dealing with the menus.
