Upon entering the car, just touch the brake pedal and it shuts off. You do need to restart. Notwithstanding your occasional shut downs on Blue Moons, I wish I had seen this before I proceeded. I too also the 2013 Altima information with a Factory Remote Start. All of the electronics work fine: I can hold the Unlock Button down which rolls down all of the windows (you do need to be closer to the car), then hit the Remote Start button (Lock Button 3 X). I think the function will be more valuable in the colder months than summer. The Parking brake engagement is a PIA to remember - I too don't use that too much.

how much that run you?

I paid 4 for hours of labor, $80/hr. They said it was a pain because of the push start/ 6mt. It works ok though. Just that I have to now carry the big remote because the remote start is not programmed to my factory fob.

Chris I am interested, always have been but too skeptical about installing a remote starter on my car... I have seen different cars' electronics go nuts later on after installing a remote starter kit for example wipers on withOUT key in the ignition, couldn't do anything to stop it etc etc... it's a cool feature don't get me wrong and would love that but to do it on our cars with the push start stop button and 6MT is pretty hard or some installers even say that it can't be done... it certainly requires a professional installer to get that done but you don't know that until he runs into some problems installing it...

It goes into a valet type mode and just starts constantly honking at me sometimes. So my experience with remote start isnt very good, then again the shop that installed it could have done a bad job.
see what I mean Chris?

pretty slick gotta admit...

2-WAY SLICE | RF-2W940-SS | Remote Starters

but sooner or later the electronics on the cars go bad because of the remote starters so that is one thing I'm certainly gonna pass on. tempting features and all but in the end might totally be not worth the trouble it may cause eventually

I completely understand. Some places won't put them on MT regardless in case it's started in gear.

I'm sure the install would be the same - you would need the appropriate wiring harness if you don't already have a universal one.

There are a few of us who have installed the DBALL and DBALL2 from Xpresskit for a remote start feature via the factory remote. Works very well and the install process was minimal.
