Audison Bit Ten D / DRC installed
I picked up an Audison Bit ten D just after Christmas
Its a great processor and allows you to tons of control of your audio settings.

Quick review....
Let me preface by saying that audio is my love.
I read articles about time alignment for fun.
I once drove 2 hours to hear an SQ car.
I picked this up after I got tired of the under performing stock audio.
I purposely skipped the Bose audio option for two reasons.
1. Bose has always been lacking for me.
2. I knew I was going to rip everything out so no point in paying the extra money.
The install was challenging at times but worth it in the end.
I started with puling out the head unit to access the wires behind the head unit.
The Audison bit ten is made for OEM integration. All you need to do is tap into your factory wires for signal.
I would only run the wires from the front. The rear output from the radio is VERY low. It measured 0.7 volts. Most units need at least 2 volts. The audison only needed 1 volt but the radio couldn't even do that.
This unit has built in turn on so you wont need to run a remote wire to turn it on. It also has a remote wire out so you can turn on your amps from this unit.
Here are some wiring diagrams I found and extracted from the Infiniti tech manuals

I choose to run new wire from my amp to the door speakers. Some people choose to tap into the factory wires. Its up to you which you would like to do.
Running wire through the molex isn't something I would recommend for a first timer.
In total I probably spent a good two days. Take your time and take breaks.
Here is a write up I did. I wish I would have taken more photos but I just wanted to be done.

Once you get the Bit ten installed you need to set up the unit using the Audioson CD they provide.
It's easy to follow. It should take about 10 min in total.
I choose the Bit ten D over the Bit ten for the use of the DRC and the aux input. Also the digital input is something I may use in the future. I think it was worth the extra money.
Just from the initial stat up the sound was impressive!
I'm still in the tuning phase after 4 weeks.
You can adjust most parameters with this unit.
The front tweeter can be set up to have its own separate EQ and crossover from the right tweeter or you can link them to share settings. Same way with the midbass in the doors.
Time aliment is very easy to use and really makes a noticeable change in sound. Some people like it and some don't. Its up to you if you want to set it up.
Overall I'm extremely happy with my set up. Install time was about 10 weeks total.
Audison did thier homework with this unit. Software works 100% and the processor is rock solid.
I would highly recommend this unit if you need a two way front stage with a sub.
Equipment used:
CDT-ES06 - Midbass
LPG NFA25 - Tweeter
JL W6 Wv2 10" - Sub
NVX JAD9005 - Amp
