upgrading sound system

Good morning guys. This is not one of those whining about the bose system, which i think sounds fine. Its just I am wanting to add more bass and kick to it. I have searched around but all i can find is threads saying how bose system sucks. So for a decent price, what sound system is worth my money to upgrade to?

I'm in the process of trying to put in a jl audio 10w6 with a Rockford fosgate 650 watt amp. The jl audio seems to be popular on this forum because 4080 makes (or made) make custom sub enclosures to fit the w6 nicely in the trunk. I'm trying to find a 4080 box on the forum that someone is selling, so i can't say how good it actually looks. If anyone is trying to sell their 4080 for the coupe, feel free to PM me.

I've got a JL Audio 900/5 with Focal separates front and rear. I don't feel that I have good equalization and I certainly don't have enough volume. I have thought about getting the JBL MS-8. But I don't want to spend more on something that won't be what I'm looking for.

I had the same setup in my last vehicle and it was everything that I wanted and more. I believe it is the poor signal from the OE head unit.

Just my .02

I have a custom made treo 10" subwoofer in a black pro box. I also have a full competition amp, all controlled through a universal bass controller. My amp was a thousand bucks and the sub was close to that also. Does it sound great? YES, is it necessary? NO... I would say you go pick up a JL W3 or a W7 if you want some serious bass. Shouldn't spend more than 700 on it if you ask me.

I added a JL 10W3 and had a custom fiberglass box made for it and a JL XD600 amp with a bass **** controller. The Bose aren't great but not too bad either. It's sufficient for my needs.
