2008 G37S Charging Issue
Greetings,
I have a problem with my 2008 G37S head unit which seems to be rather unique. I have been using the brandmotion (I believe) charge adapter cable, however, one day that stopped working and I had to RMA it. I believe that this must have broken something as the head unit still functions perfectly, however, it seems to not supply power to the device. Symptoms of this are that the replacement brandmotion cable does not charge the device, and this is more major, my iPhone 4 does not display the "Charging is not supported with this accessory" message where as it does on my EX35 and the same Nissan iPod cable and charge adapter can be used together charge the iPhone 4. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd really like to be able to charge my phone while listening to music and I use this for road trips. I do have an electrical background and I'm almost at the point of attempting to splice the charge adapter cable and give it its own "injected" 5v or 12v power (depending which end the converter circuity is on, haven't determined that yet).
Thanks
