I do not use the my system to break the law, I use it to keep me out of trouble.

I have the 9500ix and it was well worth the money. Do you have pics of where the shifters are located? More so how everything is positioned in the rear.

I have the Escort Passport 9500ix. I was amazed when driving through the mountains of Tennessee that it picked up a cop that was on the other side of the peak about 1/4 a mile away. I slowed down from 85-70 with time to spare, the guy behind me wasn't so lucky. best $500 I've ever spent.

Also looking at getting this in the near future for it.

I had an old V1 and had this problem a bit. Ended up picking up a new V1 (was going on motorcycle, then I sold bike and kept new V1 for car). The new V1 is much better.

I've owned radar detectors since 1989 and driven over 500,000 miles with them. The Valentine One is by far the best detector I've ever had. Minimal false alarms, even around town, and great sensitivity. The directional arrows really make it easier to interpret what's going on.

As others have pointed out, laser detectors are nice, but by the time they go off, it's probably too late if it's really a cop hitting you with laser (I've noticed that some of those really fancy light-up billboards cause false alarms on laser).
