I'm not familiar with that particular unit but the price is right. If all you want it for is to read and clear codes, just about any readier will do so there's no reason that I know of to pay hundreds of dollars.

Good find. If you get it, report back on how well it works. I got a very basic one on sale and paid $60.

A friend of mine has that one. It does its job. Like BB said no sense in paying more than that for one unless you run a automotive repair shop.

It's actually funny that shops like Pep Boys charge $60-80 just to read your codes LOL.

I don't know how it is where you live, but here in TX auto parts stores check codes and/or clear them for free.

Parts stores (Autozone) used to loan them out for free until shops like Pep Boys complained that they were taking their business.

I couldn't believe Autozone caved in to them...this is a free market! Obviously Autozone was offering something better.

I will definitely report back but I wish I could give my review before the sale ended. I have an exhaust leak due to dropping on eibachs and scrubbing a speed bump. Soooo I'm upgrading to Berks and will need to clear the code afterward. Plus I'm out of warranty and do my own service

For reading, that'll work just fine. Or as already mentioned you can just borrow one from Autozone (have to use it at the lot, can't drive away with 'em.)

FWIW, this is what i have.

I have used them for years the simple reader will give you a code which are available on the internet if you lose the manual. The next level will come with software to do real time analysis which you can save and review after a hard run or check your 1/4 mile stats for fun or know when you need to clean the injectors from fuel pressure levels. Here is a link to a blue tooth version for $19 that you can use with your iPhone or Droid phone that I like the best, the Droid app is $3. The Bluetooth version is cheaper than the ones I bought last year to run on my notebook.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I just noticed this does not list a G37, but I bought one to try out anyway since the standard for ODB II is supposed to be set.

Be careful with the generic ELM327's, they're rather unreliable. I went through 3 different versions and finally broke down and just got the Kiwi. Thankfully all three ELM's were refundable, sadly the headache's weren't.

I work at autozone in SD and we dont loan out the ob2 scanner anymore. The whole state of CA stopped a few years back due to shops complaining of our free service. It was taken to the court systems because of that.

I use an ultra gauge

UltraGauge OBDII Scan tool & Information Center

sure its not the flashiest device but it gives more info than your stanard OBDII reader.
