Sounds like a connection issue ... you using a dongle to make the power charging work? We get that sometimes as the combination of the iPod, dongle and cord gets loose from time to time. Mine never comes back until I reseat everything.

I have the same issue. I think it's just the cord. I was going to buy a new one but I've seen this issue pop up more and more. I don't want to sit and make a 300+ song mp3 CD, it's easier to just hook up my iPhone and let that music run. I'm gonna pay attention to this thread in hopes of a solution.

My 09 used to do that also, I too think it is the cord. It happened very infrequently. Pay attention to the placement of the ipod... try to position it so that it doesn't have much room to move around.

I have the same car (08 coupe), and have had no ipod issues. What kind of cord do you have?

This is the one that I have and have had 0 issues with it.

Using the RCA's? Infiniti makes an actual high speed cable to ingrate the iPod thru the use of the system. Search into that

The newest models don't come with that ipod adapter anymore, now its just the regular usb cabling...

Yea I went to a few sound shops and I'm getting charged between $200-$300 for the integration (for the iPod to charge and control it through steering wheel). My 08 doesn't have the right port for the iPod cable you're talking about, so I'm stuck with the RCA's, which aren't actually too bad. I'm happy with them.

I'm nearly certain that all g37s have full iPod control capability. The '08 and '09 require a special cable that plugs in inside the armrest compartment. My '09 didn't include the cable, and I bought one for $25 on eBay. the local dealer wants $38 for it.

Inside my main console/armrest compartment thing is the RCA three plugs (red, white, and yellow) along with a 12v plug (cigarette lighter plug).

Is this something you're talking about?

What type of Ipod are you using. If you are using a 1gen nano like me it should have a lock at the top. Make sure that is not on the lock position because mine was and it kept on locking up and not playing.
