Remote start system ideas

I will be getting my 2009 G37x next week!!! All the bells and whistles too. I contacted my local Infiniti dealer and asked if they installed remote start systems. They responded with "No, we don't recommend them". Any ideas why they would say that. My car has push button start. Slickcars.com sells a "Crimestopper RS-1" that is supposed to work with this car. Has anyone had any experance with putting a remote start system in, either doing it themselves or having it done? Thanks

The dealership is not going to recommend anything that they do not sell. Ask if they recommend coilovers, springs, exhaust, intake. Didnt think so.

I have a Viper 5902 system + Dball bypass + Smartstart. The reason i chose this setup is because of being able to retain the intelligent key functions. You will lose the ability to unlock using the handle buttons with most other alarms.

I just bought a 2010 g37x on Saturday and my dealer recommended a company to install a remote starter for me. I am going to have it installed next week. Just make sure your warranty does not get voided, if you have one.

I got a AutoPage remote start and alarm system installed and it works perfectly! When going to the dealer I just turn off the aftermarket alarm and give them the key fob and no probs. They dont ask about the remote start or the intake either. I still retain the unlock on the door handle and the buttons on the fob.

I have the Python Reponder One two-way. Smart start can be added as an option. Only thing I have to do after remote starting is to put my foot on the brake within 45 seconds after getting in the car. Works like a charm.
