looking for advice with installing a backup camera.

So i just got my 2009 g37 coupe without the navi package and i need to put a backup cam in.

i plan on hacking up the AUX video connector to add a switch for multiple inputs (backup cam and center box).

I think i want to put the camera in the stock placement, but since i have the none navi i dont have the hole in my spoiler already. So my question is really should i drill my spoiler, or should i buy an oem one, or an aftermarket one to replace it? and would it be better to put it there or somewhere else?

well, when i installed mine i used a license plate camera, which was quite easy. several members on g35driver have bought an OEM spoiler and placed it in there. I have a feeling that if you attempt to put it in the stock non-nav spoiler you will find there is not enough room. i would buy one on ebay if you plan on going that route.

i actually just upgraded my backup cam also from a CMOS to a CCD. i prefer CCD but either is worth the money.
