New feature - INFINITI CONNECTION

So just saw this in the new JX release found here;

InfinitiNews.com/JX

..and saw that the premium package includes "Infiniti Connection". Did some googling and found this;

Infiniti Connection - YouTube

Appears to be Infiniti's version of Onstar plus some addition features. The online access to information pertaining to the car is pretty cool. Interesting.

Be nice if it was possible and they offered an update to the current NAV system to incorporate.

big brother is watching you.

I actually use my Infiniti Personal Assistant every day -- sometimes 5-10xtimes a day...

all new owners get that now since August... it's definitely a big convenience

Can you elaborate on how the personal assistant works? Also, what models is this on now, everything including the G?

how do you get it? buy a new Infiniti from now on...

It's a 1800# you virtually call and it's linked to your cell phone (not the car)... I can call and ask anything -- what's the weather?

I just did it last week for my girls' birthday-- called them and said I'm looking for a David Yurman bangal...

the personall assistant caleld me back in 5 minutes... had 3 of them on hold at Sak's, 2 of them on hold at Bloomingdales...

I walked in, lady greeted me hello Mr. Chan... yada yada.. didn't like those... onto the next store (bloomingdales)

and you get the rest

it also calls me each month to remind me when my car bill is due, and when my anniversary is, and every 2 1/2 months when to change my oil

you can also ask sports questions, etc....

It's an amazing feature that will outsell any luxury brand that just offers "complimentary maintainence" ..... it's really an every day resource BUT I THINK CORPORATE DIDN'T MARKET IT THE RIGHT WAY....

Time to trade in for a new car... It's a pretty cool service, but unlike the one on the JX it's really just linked to your cell phone. I've only used it a few times for dinner reservations, directions, etc. The only problem with directions is they email or text you so you still have to enter it manually into the nav system.

I bought my G37S vert 08/31/2011 and got the assistant, but during service the battery was disconnected and I lost the number. Coincidentally, I just emailed service yesterday asking to get it back.

It gets "registered" or "locked" to your cell phone number and then you are enabled via caller id.
