By chance anyone know the brand of speakers of the 6 speaker set for the G37 Journey without premium package?

Probably some cheesy paper-cone, no name brand speaker.

trust me, it's worth the investment to upgrade to premium package which has the BOSE system,

the BOSE on mine is by far better than the BMWs in my opinion

Guys, what settings did you put your 2011-12 Bose system at? I have my Treble and Bass on +3, with exception of sometimes I put Bass back to +2. Does anyone experience minor rattle in the driver door with heavy Bass music. I'm thinking someone might've overdriven my audio system on a test drive before I bought my car, but I might be just paranoid.

I think I'm on +1 for both bass and treble, but I don't really blast the music, nor am I an audiophile.

I do really like the Driver's Audio Stage or whatever it's called.

This is one of the two minor complaints I have about this car, the other being the large wheel well gap on the front tires. I love everything else about the car. I also have the Premium package and I find it kind of sad that a luxury car brand decided to upgrade the door speakers to 10" woofers while neglecting to upgrade the insulation on the door to prevent the associated rattling. It can be fixed easily though if you remove your door paneling and add extra insulation like Dynamat. One thing I noticed though is that my door rattled more in the summer because I used to roll my windows all the way down. I played around and figured out that if I roll my windows all the way up, then nudge them back up slightly so that they barely poke out of the opening, the glass essentially pushes the door paneling away from the sheet metal and acts like shim that reduces the vibration of the woofer.

Do we truly have 10in drivers in each front door? I don't see how it can fit in there? The speaker grill is looks like it's made for a 6in woofer.

Premium is better, but I doubt by that much. I haven't listened to a non-premium, but if you have one, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Sorry, just noticed this thread. Yes, the driver door rattles a bit on my '11 Premium on stuff like Chris Izaak's "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing". I run +3 on bass and treble, and fade a tick to the rear. I didn't really care for the Bose until I started doing the slight fade, now I like it a lot. I also use the "drivers studio" setting as I'm usually the only one in the car.

The Music Box is pretty chintzy, maxing out at 880Mb of music. I use an 8Gb Coby MP3 player and have most of my music in the car. Random all repeat mode is great. In any mode, it turns the player on and off with the car, and remembers where it was when you start it back up.
