New Navi update on Infiniti today

Yep, same here. 5 year old roads still not showing up. The Jan 2012 update should fix all that according to my service rep. I don't know how much the update will be, but it was stupidly expensive on my 2005 G (DVD's). I think around $150. Hopefully the HDD version will not be that much.

i had mine in for service today and they said there was a NAV update (i should receive a 'recall letter" on this) but they would do it today - about 20 minutes
Invoice shows "Reprogram Navigation Unit" INF Reprogram Navi ITB11-P1235"
No charge to me but 'factory charged $35.33
Definitely not a map update.
