Cruise Control Not Working

Hey guys,

I ordered an Uprev standard tune about a month ago, very successful with downloading the software and flashing it to the car, however, I ran into an issue my stock tune was my first map, in order to get to my tuned map I needed to use the cruise control switch to switch it. I found out that my cruise control wasn't turning on, even with the "back to stock" flash on my car. I called Uprev they said that their tune doesn't go anywhere near the cruise control so it wasn't anything they did. I did remember seeing 3 codes when I first plugged the Uprev in, which I though was odd, these codes were P1564 (steering switch) and two U1001 which were Control Area Network codes or grounding issues. So with the "back to stock" flash on the car i took it to the dealership for attempt 1: What they did was find that there was a grounding issue, so they changed the spiral cable in the steering wheel, still no cruise. They decided to order the two switches for the steering wheel, attempt 2 still not cruise control so they ordered a brand new ECM. Attempt 3, installed the new ECM and still no cruise control. So after three trips to the dealership I have a new spiral cable, new steering switches, and new ECM and still I have no cruise control. Of course I'm very irritated, but what he is going to do now is hook up the car with the Infiniti Tech line and see what he can find, he seems to think that the cruise control might go through a different module and not the ECM.

Anyone else have some insight on this problem.

Oh yeah I have owned my Uprev tune for a month and still not been able to actually experience it....

I do not have a grounding kit on my car, I have an intake, test pipes, y-pipe, HID fogs, and that's about it for mods

thanks franky, but I feel like I'm out of the lemon law, I thought the lemon law was something that was at the very beginning of the cars life. I really don't want to do a lemon law because I don't know what I will get out of that

I totally agree with you, I also think the cruise control goes through one of the other four boxes that are under the glove box, I mean I don't know what is under there but I feel like there is more too it.

Could I potentially get an IPL... :-)?

My icc had to be changed, new one is acting up.
If you have regular cc, it is not a seperate unit/module.

On the 4th attempt, would be considered a lemon.
Also goes by if the car was in the shop xyz amount of days.
They should know, any type of cc problem is a major saftey issue.

I just set up a fourth appointment to get it fixed.

Should I contact Corporate Infiniti to outline my situation before I go for the fourth attempt?
