Hey guys just got a g37 vert w/ the base sound system ( womp womp) . I REALLY need an upgrade. At high volumes, the sound outa my ipod distorts like hell. My camry had a better sound system (granted it was the premium JBL trim).

What do I need? Whats a ball park price for the equipment?

I just bought a G37 convertible and the base sound system is NOT good. My Lexus base model was amazing. I want to know if Infiniti upgrades to Bose system on a base model or are there other places outside of Infiniti that can do it right and for a reasonable price.

 

im trying to figure out how to upgrade mine too. prolly gonna do pioneer 6.5"s in the doors and an amp. lmk if u figure ures out

 

Drove a G37 loaner when I had mine in the shop. The radio does suck eggs! Souns as bad as one in a Dodge Intrepid. Super high tweeter noise, loud, muddled, mid-bass. Low dynamice range. No midrange. Just overall crappy. I Like the Bose system a lot. Not the best, but light-years ahead of a standard car stereo.

 

In my G I have the Bose system and I'm not impressedvwith it at all. No punch, no real highs and the adjustability is not really existent. You can only adjust bass, treble, balance and fade. Pretty weak for a Bose branded system in my opinion.

 

My bose in the G sucks but in my sisters Altima it rocks. Wtf infiniti.

 

i think i like my base model so far ,better than my old 2006 G35 with Bose speakers

 

If you guys want to upgrade, go to a shop that specializes in car audio. This way you can listen to and pick your own components. Why even upgrade to the Bose at this point???

 

i just did mine on my 08 sedan.

i replaced all door speakers with JL Audio 6.5". I did a write up in another forum, so just PM me for the link.

I am installing JL10W3 and JL500/1 amp soon as well. Amp kit and line out convertor are enroute to me now.
