You need this to plug in to the navi:

Well damn.
This might be a stretch, but what if we were to take apart the dash and remove the hard drive. Has anyone ever plugged the HDD into their computer and looked at the file system? I doubt it's as easy as just copying the files over from the new version but it's worth a try.

What about the firmware updates for the system itself? For my wrangler, Mygig navigation, there are 3 updates to perform....
1- navteq $200. Nav map, poi, etc.
2- application cd, free online, DL and burn. Firmware.
3- gracenotes DVD, free online, DL and burn. Mp3 software.
