Converting to USB in 08-09 G37s?

Would it be possible to switch out either the compact flash card slot or simply replace the auxiliary cable harness in favor of a USB port? Sorry if this has been asked, but the lack of a USB port in here is about to make me a little crazy.

Maybe something like this?:

USB 1.1 Host Adapter Compact Flash Card - N63241, $159.95

I like where you are going with this. Please be sure to post up your findings!

Unfortunately its not that simple. The 08 AV Control Unit has no USB controller. They added this in the 2010 system. The only way to get it would require replacing AV Control Unit, display screen, and all the associated components.

Sorry to raise this thread from the dead, but I was wondering if it's possible to convert the CF port to provide USB power only. It'd be nice to put some sort of use to this CF port. I'm guessing the answer is no, but just want to see what anyone else has to say.
