Not sure if anyone else has tried this, but found out this cool trick the other day on adding red light camera detection.

Anytime you see a red light camera or speed camera, hit the enter button on the steering wheel or press OK button while your on the map twice (this will save the location).

Then when you get home or in park for a few minutes, go to Settings-> Navigation-> Stored Locations.

Now you can edit the location you just saved, give it an icon (i set it to the police icon), a sound (chime), and distance to alert you (say 1000 feet or 1500 feet).

Once you save this, anytime you approach that particular camera again, it will chime at you and show the cop icon on the screen, pretty awesome!



Yes the downside is you have to do this for each one and of course it doesn't update, but, if you go the same route often enough, it can be a friendly reminder and all your friends will be jealous you have red light camera detection built into your G

Hmmm... 'round here all the red light camera intersections are marked with big yellow signs that say "REDLIGHT CAMERA ENFORCED INTERSECTION" at about 50 and 25 yards from the intersection. Unfortunately that has not stopped people from running redlights.

I like my safe method.... I approach every intersection with the thought in my mind that someone is going to run the red light.

Or, if you have a smartphone, you can download one of the many apps available.

I still give you an A+ for effort though.
