2011 owners what version maps did your navigation come with?
To anyone who bought the new 2011 G Coupe with navi what version are your maps? 09-10 or 10-11? I am just interested because the 10-11 nav update came out in December but I am not sure if the old 09-10 maps are loaded in the 2011 G's or the new 10-11 maps. You can find the map version in nav settings / info I believe. The 10-11 update is something like 149 dollars from Navteq just wanted to know what maps shipped with the 2011 G
Thanks

Thanks
remember these cars were built in 2010 even though you might have a 2011 model year car.
my map is 09-10....
you think it's easy to get a full database from any company to have it update? its only restaurants mainly in my area -- not roads

Yea I know it was built well before the maps came out. I'm guessing they'll be using the old maps in production for at least another month or two. Factory nav is new to me - but in the past with Garmin, if you bought a handheld GPS after the map release date, you could call them and they would give you a free update as long as you can prove the purchase date. Hoping it might be similar with Infiniti / Navteq? I'm in a new neighborhood, and my road doesn't exist on my map (Google picked it up a few months ago). Lots of other new roads around too.
I tried to throw the free nav update into my lease but it was a lost cause... they have no real idea when the new update will come out and it is apparently a $300 fee for the disk to update it when it becomes available :/
Well....the good news is we can use a DVD as opposed to CF to update
maybeeeee....we should do a group buy, get 1 DVD and burn multiple copies.
Id even be willing to disect the DVD and see if any changes can be made to icons/colors/etc

Do the 2010s use the same DVD upgrade method as the 2011s? If so, has anyone done it before? I'm mainly wondering whats involved in it (license keys, authorizing the device?), and if it has to be done at a dealer like the prior HDD nav systems.

A bit strangely, the NAVTEQ site indicates that the 2010-2011 models MUST have the latest maps. However, when 2008-2009 is selected, the update states that the 2010-2011 update is available December 2010. How could a 2010 vehicle have the latest update if the latest update is available 12/2010?
