NAV coverage

I am moving to a different state, and I noticed today that my NAV doesn't cover the rather large City I'm moving to (250k+ people). Does our NAV only cover regions, or is it supposed to be pre-loaded with the entire U.S.?

I want to do some research on this before going to the dealer and getting charged $300 for a map update.

Thanks!

All you need to press the DEST button and select Change Region. All the regions including a map are shown and can be changed. This past thread should also help.

And I can’t resist mentioning that you should look for the Navigation Manual that I'm sure came with your car.

Yeah - changed the region before I posted, and checked the manual. Several large cities in the (new) region show up for selection, but when they are selected the system tells me that they do not have data available.

Thanks.

**EDIT** It's working now. Maybe the system just needed a "reboot".
