Thumbs down iPhone update 4.2 COMPLETELY breaks USB connectivity

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 4.2 and now my 2010 NO-NAV G37 won't recognize ANY info or music from my iPhone.

Beware.

I know Infiniti will blame Apple, but I'm sure Infiniti is doing something wrong because Apple wouldn't release an update that would break every single accessory out there. Accessory manufacturers like Belkin aren't affected because they do it the right way.

Friggin' sucks. Good luck.

Try turning the phone completely off and back on and try again. If that doesn't work try restoring the iPhone to 4.2.1

Are you connected via USB or BlooToof?

iOS 4.2 works with my 2010 Nav Unit just fine. Recommend trying some of the troubleshooting techniques recommended above before wiping/downgrading.

Worked fine with my 2010, In fact I was having the trouble where it would drop out(like skipping) using the usb since going to 4.1 and now 4.2 seemed to fix the problem

my iPhone 4 worked on a no-Nav 2009, although it initially said it wouldn't, after a few minutes it started working

I also upgraded to iOS 4.2, but don't have any problems with either Bluetooth or USB. Definitely try a complete reboot of the iPhone (hold down both the top button and front select button until everything on the screen goes off and you get the white Apple icon). I'm using a 3GS and have a 2010 with Nav.
