Sirius Car Kit and USB

Sirius Car Kit and USB
Hello. I just got out of an 08 G35 and picked up a 2010 G37. I read here that people made the same mistake that I did not realizing they removed the RCA connections. I have had Sirius in my G35 for years connecting the 3.5MM audio out to an RCA adapter into the radio. I want to continue to use the Sirius Sportster radio with the car kit but rather not use the FM transmitter. I also rather not stick with XM and the car receiver as it does not provide the same programming as Sirius (unless you want to pay extra) plus it doesn't provide any storage for pausing/rewinding. Has anyone had any success with using a 3.5MM to USB adapter? Thanks for any input.

The thing with 3.5mm to USB adapters is that they all contain (very small) chips that convert analog sound into digital sound. Then, the USB system must be able to read the raw data from the adapter and understand it. That's why you have to install drivers on your computer to use everything. There is no way that our cars support any of this type of proprietary hardware unless it was specifically made to.
So sorry, but USB to 3.5mm analog audio adapters will most definitely not work.
