Beautiful radar detector mount system
Just got my G37x and couldn't find a good place to mount the radar detector. I came across a beautiful machined aluminum mount that places it directly below your rearview mirror. Pricey at $80 but worth it to me. By the way, If you want a clean install splice a power cord to your rear view mirror's plug. Brown is IGN and black is GND. I got mine off eBay but here is the mfr site:

A year ago I was still driving my 2002 Elantra GT! It was a nice little car. My sis said it didn't project a good image for a successful person. It will make a great first car for my daughter. Briefly considered a BMW, but I always associated them with pretentious poseurs who wouldn't know a push-rod from a fishing-rod. Saw the G37x and it was love at first sight. So, I'm a little behind but getting up to speed on the car. Love the charcoal gray. My only possible regret is not checking out the Infiniti M!
I keep mine clipped to my sun visor. I do not like the fact that with these rearview stem mounts, the radar detector is very visible through the windshield. I just am paranoid about it getting stolen. On the visor (the very end towards the door), it is below the windshield tint yet is not visible when parked. I use a long stealth cord to hardwire it.

Mine Passport stays on dash all the time and I never missed any radar for many years and on many cars including laser radars. What is the point of all this wires and mounts from top? Detectors are sensitive enough, no needs of this roof mounts.
