So just about everyone I call with with G37 Sedan's Bluetooth comments they can hardly understand me. This is with a IPhone 3GS. I also tried an old Samsung I had and had quality issues. It sounds fine on my end.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking I might have got a bad microphone?

Otherwise the car is great, but this is annoying as I spend a lot of time in the car.

 

I only get complaints when driving with the windows & sunroof down @ speed. You talking with the windows up? I usually don't have problems people understanding me.

I believe the mic is near the sunglass holder.

 

I have a 3GS as well and it sounds horrible to people I call. However they sound fine to me. I've done a lot of research and it seems to be a pattern with the iPhone - if you look on their forums there are a LOT of complaints about it. Fortunately, a new version is coming out next week that is supposedly addressing bluetooth issues (Was announced at today's Apple event)

 

Are you able to confirm this after updating to iOS4.1? I'm still on 4.0.1...

iOS4.1 works for me now. People used to say I sounded muffled, but everything is clear now..iOS 4.0.1 definitely did not work for me with bluetooth.

Im on Android and I have the same problem - calls sound very muffled.

 

people hear me just fine with my blackberry bold. also used the BT with the windows down on city streets with no problems. obviously if i get on the highway going 70 with the windows down will be a different story.

 

Mine actually got worse with the new update. I was fine until this most recent one, now I sound like to **** to everyone else
