XM traffic trial expired, but came back on by itself

Well, this is odd,

I bought my car on Feb/14. The XM trial traffic, radio, weather and such was activated on that day. On May/15, my XM trial expired, and I didn't renew it cuz I don't need it. (I didn't reply to any mail XM sent me)

A few days after May/15, to my surprise, the XM traffic on my G came back on! I couldn't believe it. It had been on for few weeks, and during that time, it went off and on, on and off. It's not on right now though.

Did it happen to you guys too on your G?

Yeah there was a free trial for a few weeks. Everyone got free traffic, radio, and weather (if applicable).

Yup...my traffic came on too.

Funny is...I never had traffic cuz they messed up durning the free trial somehow. I'm in Buffalo..no traffic...so I could care less on having it.

Yup - if you go to the XM site (at least a few weeks ago) they announced a free trial to all subcribers to offer all weather and traffic for 2 weeks.

Ended last week. I guess it was a good idea but they sure didn't advertise it too well. Instead of people looking at it and saying:
'Gee, this is great. I can see the value and I'll pay more each month from now on!'

they get a magnification of the fact that they treat people like dirt and the relationship between the Sirius/XM and it's customers is usually for the customer to see how low a price they can negotiate or not to say anything if they 'accidentally' get something for free (see the 'free ****' comment above ).

So now, if you didn't know about the advertising campaign you are disappointed, when we had the stuff for free we all thought we were getting something for nothing.

Good idea - bad implementation . . .

I think the campaign went from May 20 - something to early June.
