Ipod not connected error message when driving short distance
I get the "ipod not connected" message a couple times a day, it seems like when i drive short distances such as to the grocery or getting gas, the ipod is always fully charged and overnight i never have the error. i have it connected in the console. sometimes when i start the car it just says audio off and i have to press the disc message to get to the ipod which i dont mind but when the error message comes i have to unplug and plug it back in. anyone know why??

Has it always been this way? Sounds like the battery is going dead? Can you take a look and see if the battery is charging or if it is dead when you start the car in the morning? If so, the current 160 gig classic iPod will probably solve the problem. I tried a few and went with one. I just leave it in the car.

! First time since I bought this car over a year ago... "iPod not connected" happened this morning when I ran into the Post Office and back to the car. Car was probably off for a couple of minutes, iPod (160 gig classic) was running when I shut it down. Had to unplug and replug the iPod.

I had this happen for the first time about 2 weeks ago, then it went away and now it came back. iPod Video (30MB), been using it with the G-37 since October. I am thinking it's a temperature issue. It looks like my problem may coincide with really hot days when the car has been left out in the sun. The temp in the car was probably well over 100F when I got in this afternoon.

the only constant thing iv found with the issue is when the car is off for short amount of time, even when i leave it outside in the heat for where i work it seems to be fine after 4-8 hours, its just those 2 minute stops that seem to effect it
