Dude, seriously? Road noise? You've got 19" summer tires for God's sake!
- The paint scratches if someone spits on the car
Legitimate complaint...
- Sheet metal so thin I fear a 100 mph drive will crater the hood
No idea what you are talking about here. I'd like to see empirical data that proves BMW sheetmetal is thicker....
- The leather is thin
...And alot better looking than the VINYL you get standard on a $45k+ 335i...
- The navigation nannie's won't let me do anything reasonable while the car is in motion
Again, this is most cars, not just Infinitis...
- Voice recog that's worse than my 3 year old Blackberry Curve
This is a fair point, though iDrive is no better...
- The engine and tranny buzz through the steering wheel like a vibrator at high RPM
More NVH work needs to be done here, I agree...
- The passenger seat doesn't have the same adjustments as the driver (lumbar, side bolsters, etc.)
I don't think the 335i offers the same functionality of the driver and passenger seats either...
- And now dumb electronic "common sense" settings like pausing the damn CD player when a phone call comes in are missing
Already said this is stupid...

It's not that the G is a bad car, I'm just discovering how much I'm truly giving up by driving a "luxo" maxima / altima. It's a fun car to drive, but luxury, it's not.
Btw, I love the "Altima" jab at the end! The fact is, price a 335i the same as a fully loaded G37S and you will get no nav to complain about, vinyl seats, no seat heaters, halogen bulbs, 18 inch wheels with all seasons, no iPod hookup, no satellite radio, etc. Hmmm sounds so luxurious!!!

Take it off and hear the difference.

Not really.

No it won't. I hit debris going that fast on the track, all i got was a scratch.

Blame it on regulation and a sue-happy America.

Cost concern. They could put as much into the car as they want, but then who'd want to pay for an XX$$ G?

It's a fun car to drive, but luxury, it's not.
I see the G as more of an entry-level sport sedan. Infiniti may be a luxury brand, but on entry-level sedans i don't expect much luxury out of them -- especially at this price-range.

It's no Maxima or Altima, not even close (had a Max before this). I think "Luxury" is a term loosely defined these days. A while back it meant having power-everything. Now it means electronic-nanny assistance everything.

In fairness, the G37 is considered a near-luxury car.

You really can't complain at it's price point.

As far as Infiniti fits the lux, pseudo-lux, entry level lux, designations, I really couldn't care less. I bought a sports sedan. A FWD Maxima or Altima doesn't fit the bill -- that's part of why the G is worth more, at least to me.

Alright rub it in, man.

I think M37 is more luxurious. Not to mention it's price tag..
I say G37 is sporty with someone luxury.
