Picture on Navi with entire car
Alright, not sure what's up. The other day, I was parking in a really small spot, with pillars left and right. I decided against after I spent a minute or two parking (ugh). Anyways, at one point, while pressing forward, FOR A SPLIT second, on the navigation screen...I got an image of the ENTIRE car with I'm thinking sensor pings from the sonar. Do we have sensors in the front of the car as well? Yes, I do have the factory sensors. Anyone know what the hell I'm talking about? Hm...
there are no front sensors.
its possible you got a shell image of what you WOULD see on the EX or FX. but since we only have a rear camera....i dont think what you saw would be any more functional than a static picture

I actually saw that once also. Could never get it to do that again though. Right after I reversed into my parking stall, I put the car in park and the image displayed on the navi screen briefly.
hey - I wonder if that feature is present, or the graphics are at least present in the shared software used on all the cars, and is simply turned off (a software switch) in the cars where it is not an offered feature? Wouldn't be the first time an automaker dumbed-down a product for marketing reasons even though the capabilities were present.
^^ well here we go - a new mod - just need someone to access the infiniti nav hardrive with the native infiniti service software and turn the option on, and then install all of the needed sensors/ cameras (3?) and convince it all to work together, lol!
I bet dollars to donuts that was a logic glitch - some method or function gets called when you opo it into reverse, but there's probably a flag to tell it it's 'off' or in the G, or not seeing input from the other sensors, so then don't activate the surround graphics, but probably briefly missed one of the flags for a second until it hit some failsafe flags / conditions. And so you get flashed by a surround graphic for a sec.
