Question Does the G37 audio system feature active noise cancellation?

I've noticed when driving around that if I turn up the audio system to a moderate (not loud) level, I can't hear the engine/exhaust at all even under acceleration. And it's not like this is a quiet powertrain on this car! Given that the system is produced by Bose who specializes in active noise cancellation technology, and given that they've put that technology in some other cars, I was wondering if this car had it.

I've owned several cars with higher end audio systems and throaty powertrains (Lexus GS430 w/L-Tuned exhaust and Mark Levinson audio) and I've never experienced this before.

Anyway, I did some Googling and didn't see anything saying the G35/G37 audio system had that feature, so I figured I'd ask here.

No.

It is speed-sensitive volume. Even civics feature this now. You can turn it off in the settings menu.

All of the cars I've owned for the past decade have had auto sound levelizing/speed-sensitive volume. They've never had this same effect of eliminating the powertrain noise.

It's very possible that I think I'm hearing something that's not there (or perhaps more accurately, not hearing something that is there!), but it's definitely not the effect of ASL.

no such thing as that on the g37, which is a good thing. I dont want the exhaust noise on my coupe to be cancelled out. sedans are very quiet to begin with so a little music and you cant hear the engine at all

Only the M and FX offer active noise cancellation in the Infiniti lineup...

The G is very well insulated when it comes to sound.

Only one of the G37's has active noise cancelation technology and that would be the coupe hard top convertable.
