2010 Navigation

Is it possible to have the new navigation system from the 2010 models installed into a 2008 G coupe? Thanks.

It's probably possible but the cost definately won't be worth it. Does your coupe already have nav? It'll probably be easier/cheaper to swap out than add a new one.

I don't have a G yet but I'm looking into getting a 2008 this summer since being the oldest they will be cheapest, and I just noticed the new Navi on the 2010s. So I figured if it was possible I'd buy a G and then straight to the dealership and have the Navi upgraded, as there is no way I can afford the 2010, also I can't stand the new gauges, they're just so bland. Red needles and display are much better.

Anything is posible with enough money.

You could probably take apart the dash, remove the old navigation unit and install the new one (assuming that the connections are the same).

I would price out a new navigation assembly first. That'll probably put a damper on things.

Are you willing to pay close to a grand for a little higher resolution?

Four words: so not worth it.

yeah its really not gonna be worth it if it is even possible.

The 08 navi isnt that terrible that it really needs to be upgraded.

What's the difference?

Just higher resolution or is it actually "better" (faster, more POI, better mapping etc?)

Is 09 Nav same as 08?

Also, is the nav a must have on the G as much as the premium package? I have an iphone and tomtom (which works really well), i just dont know if the nav is way better than those mentioned
