Changes to 2010 nav over 2009

I drove and played with the nav in a 2010 EX35 and compared it to the one in my 2009 g37 vert.

The display is obviously higher resolution - smoother lines and fonts make road names easier to view. A pleasant improvement.

There are new voice commands accessible! The "places" voice command gives you an option called "other" where you can say things like "infiniti dealer" or "ski resort". This is a big improvement that I would love to get. My sense is that the spoken output from the system when pronouncing road names is better - smoother and more natural.

The xm weather feature is easy to use - it will give you a local forecast or show you weather laid out on a map. I would like this feature - with a convertible it would be nice to see thunderstorms in the summer before they hit. I use my ipod for this now.

I'll be keen to see if they update the software on the 2009 and older to get some of these features. I didn't see too many uses of the higher power graphics other than smoother lines and more pixels - I am not in an area with building level graphics which may have been improved. The exit maps on my 2009 looked more accurate than the exit maps on the 2010 over the same area - odd.

The all-around camera is a really nice feature - I could see using this a lot.

Does the 2009 or 2010 G37's navi say the street names? Such as in 1/4 mile make left on (name of street)

The 2009 in my g37 vert says the names. My *impression* was that the names sounded more natural from the 2010 - I'd like to hear other people's impressions of this.
