I followed up with Escort regarding the problem and Escort has asked that we send in our detectors, they will modify our devices so that they do not false alarm (make sure you are under warranty or have extended warranty purchased):

Has anyone sent their 9500ix into Escort for the laser sensitivity adjustment and if so, substantial difference in falses??

I guess you dont trust my comment or something. Like i stated on your other thread:

Call Escort and tell them you have interference from navigation screen that sets off the laser on the detector. Ask them to install the shield and adjust the sensitivity. They basically developed a fix for this problem. You just need to send it in for service.

I got this problem fixed about a year ago and never had a false alarm since then.

Sorry, didn't read your other comment. Have been researching between work responsibilities.

Update: tried everything and realized that it was hit or miss, but the mirror bracket might not be good enough to keep it out of the causing stimulus. Turned the radar off of "highway" mode and put it on auto and BAM......no more falses. Even if I am going 80 and pull the detector off the cups and move in all over the nav....nada! Make of it what you will.
